We must Repent

"From that time Jesus began to preach, saying 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.' " (Matt 4:17)

"I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance." ( Luke 5:32)

" The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here." (Matt 12:41)

"Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3,5)

Jesus taught us that repentance is necessary for salvation. We must repent is we wish to become closer to Him. Repentance is one of the main themes of Lent. Let this Lenten season be a season for us all to become more repentant, and to become closer to Him! God is forgiving and merciful, but we need to realized that what we did was wrong and come to him and repent.
