John William Waterhouse is one of my favorite artists. There is just something about his art that I find particularly wonderful. Here are a few of his pieces.
Study for The Lady Clare |
The soft tone and gentle curves.
Not sure what this one is called. |
The flowers.
Flower Picker |
The flow of fabric and the vibrant colors.
The Crystal Ball |
The vibrant red int his one is just so striking.
Do you have a favorite artist?
Blessings

YES! Pre-raphaelite art is amazing, and John Waterhouse is one of the best.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites include Ivan Bilibin, Arthur Rackham, Vincent van Gogh (!!!) and Alphonse Mucha. I really like the intersection between fantasy and reality -- seeing the fantastical element in normal things.
Nice blog...
